HEALTHY MEALS …DELIVERED!

There are currently 93 in-patient rooms at Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital where children with cancer undergo in-patient chemotherapy and other forms of treatment. In many cases, both parents are unable to stay with their child during these often lengthy treatment stays. As a result, many parents do not leave their rooms or the hospital floor to get food. This can make eating healthy exceedingly difficult. As you know, parents are the primary caregivers, and their health is important since they provide around the clock care for their children. As part of its services mission, the Chance for Hope Foundation provides healthy meal options to families at no cost.

Beginning in 2015, the Chance for Hope Foundation began partnering with local restaurant businesses that generously provide meals on a discounted basis. Foundation volunteers deliver these meals to families whose children are receiving in-patient cancer treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. The Foundation’s meal delivery program currently occurs four times per month and will increase in frequency as donations permit.

If you have any contacts with local restaurants, caterers or other food service providers who may be interested in participating in the Chance for Hope Foundation’s Meal Delivery Program, please contact the Foundation at info@chanceforhopefoundation.org.
